Manda Jenkins is a children's book writer, poet, and award-winning author of several essays including "American Youth: Their Place in the Future." Working in education for a decade, she has taught preschool children to college juniors. In 2011 she became an editor for Betty and AL Books for Young Children, a small publishing firm. She lives with her family in Central Pennsylvania, where she laughs with her daughter in their strawberry patch, learns sign language with her son who is a 22Qtie Pie, hikes, and engages with students of all ages at various book events.
